DEA Requirements by state (IN, KY, OH)
Physicians
INDIANA: Physicians must complete 2 credit hours of CME in the topic of opioid prescribing and opioid abuse. (Note: I cannot tell if that was part of every past cycle, nor how long their cycle is. Might be harder to make a statement similar to Ky's about Indiana.)
KENTUCKY: There are 4.5 hours of prescribing controlled substances CME for physicians who are authorized to prescribe or distribute controlled substances in Kentucky. This CME is required every three year CME cycle period.
OHIO: There is nothing specific to opioids, so most of us would not have had required CME pertinent to opioid prescribing and abuse
